Become a Youth Counselor.

At Trinity, we believe in the power of connection. Youth Counselors walk alongside youth—bringing encouragement, consistency, and creativity into each session. Through one-on-one relationships, youth grow in confidence, independence, and hope. And it’s all possible because someone like you showed up.

Youth Counselors help youth make progress on their goals—whether that means trying new experiences, developing emotional regulation, building social skills, or learning how to navigate the world with more confidence and independence.

If you're ready to invest in someone’s story—and be changed in the process—you’re in the right place.

What Is a Youth Counselor?

A Youth Counselor is a paid team member who works one-on-one with youth ages 5–18+ who are navigating mental health challenges or disabilities. Through connection, consistency, and real-life experiences, Youth Counselors support goal progress in meaningful, measurable ways.

The Role of a Youth Counselor

No matter the program, all Youth Counselors at Trinity share four core responsibilities:

  • Caregiver Collaboration: Work closely with caregivers to ensure consistency and support.

  • Session Planning or Tweaking: Plan or adapt sessions to support the youth’s goals. In Workshops, this may include adjusting group activities to meet individual needs.

  • Transportation: Provide reliable transportation to and from all sessions.

  • Documentation: Track goal progress by completing progress notes after each session.

Which Programs Do Youth Counselors Support?

Youth Counselors serve across three of Trinity’s Youth Development programs:

While each program has a different format, the goal is always the same—helping youth grow through connection, support, and goal progress.
